The correct method and precautions for starting and extinguishing diesel forklift truck
Diesel forklift is an indispensable and important equipment in modern logistics and warehousing. It is very important to master its correct starting and extinguishing method to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the equipment. However, many people often ignore this link in the operation process, leading to potential safety hazards. Next, we will delve into the starting and extinguishing skills of diesel forklift trucks, as well as matters needing attention in actual operation.
First, check before starting
Before starting a diesel forklift truck, a series of detailed checks must be carried out. This includes verifying that the coolant is at the right height, checking that the amount of oil and fuel is adequate, checking the electrolyte level of the battery, and making sure that the light fixtures, body surfaces, and tire pressures are in good condition. Only after these necessary checks can the driver feel at ease to start the forklift and start working.
Operation procedure
(1) Ensure that the parking brake is tightened and the shift lever is placed in neutral position;
(2) Open the combustion switch to connect the combustion circuit;
(3) Gently press the clutch pedal with the left foot, then slowly press the accelerator pedal with the right foot, at the same time pull out the choke valve, and twist the gasoline engine, turn the combustion switch key to the starting position to start the engine; For diesel engines, turn the start knob or press the start button.
(4) After the engine starts, let it idle until it is stable, and then gradually release the clutch pedal to maintain low speed operation in order to gradually increase the engine temperature. In this process, you should avoid stepping on the accelerator pedal to prevent the engine oil pressure from being too high, which will aggravate the wear of the engine.
Ii. Precautions
(1) The engine should be preheated at low temperature before starting. This can be achieved by heating water, crankshaft turning, etc., to ensure that all lubricating surfaces are adequately lubricated and to avoid engine open flame preheating. When starting the cooler in cold conditions, it is necessary to turn the electric fan by hand to prevent the water pump shaft from freezing, while turning the gasoline pump rocker arm and filling the carburetor with gasoline to preheat the engine.
(2) The operation time of the drive should be controlled within 5 seconds, and the button should not be pressed for a long time to prevent damage to the starter and battery. No more than two consecutive starts, each interval of 10-15 seconds. If three consecutive starts are unsuccessful, contact the diesel forklift repairman for inspection, and wait for the stock index to clear before trying to start.
(3) During the starting process, unnecessary starting should be prevented by appropriate delay, using a back mouth, sliding down the slope or lightly pressing the clutch pedal, thereby reducing the risk of damage and failure of the parts.
Three, flameout steps
When the diesel forklift truck needs to stop, it should first operate the stop handle, turn the fuel injection pump column to the position without fuel supply, and then idle for a few minutes, and then turn off the combustion switch and turn off the engine after the spare parts are evenly cooled. This ensures that the engine and parts are properly cooled, extending their service life.
